Yes. The fire starter gel is non-toxic, food-safe, and odorless.

How do I use the Fire Starter Gel with my Summit 24™?

Simply stack your logs around the cone, pour 1 Fire Starter Gel pouch onto the Quick Strike Cone ™ , and ignite.

Will Fire Starter Gel splash or flare?

No. The formula is designed for a clean, controlled pour with no splashing. That said, always be careful while using the gel.

Is Fire Starter Gel safe around kids and pets?

Yes. It’s flammable, but formulated to be safe, clean, and odorless. Still, always supervise children and pets around any open flame or flammable gel .

How much fire gel should I use?

One full pouch should be used to start your fire. The empty pouch should be properly disposed of after use. Do not store opened pouches.

What should I do if the gel does not light in the first 3 seconds?

In the rare case this occurs, wait 15 minutes and then try lighting the gel again. While gel is on the cone and/or in the reservoirs, do not attempt to add more.
