When should I use Shield?

We always recommend using Shield for additional safety. While we cant guarantee no spark will ever escape, the mesh top blocks most sparks and embers from jumping out of your fire pit.

You will receive your two piece spark arrestor as well as your removal tools which is two separate pieces.

Can I use my own roasting sticks on Shield?

Yes, while we are a little biased toward Solo Stove Sticks, you can use any roasting sticks with Shield.

What is the best way to store Shield when not in use?

Accepted Answer

The best way to store Shield is to nest it inside your fire pit. To do this, simply remove the Shield and the flame ring and then place your Shield upside down inside your fire pit. The flame ring will then nest on top for easy storage.

What is Surround Lite made of?

Accepted Answer

Surround Lite’s frame is constructed with a durable powder-coated steel. The fabric barriers are made from UV and fire-resistant 600D polyester.

Will the Surround Lite get hot while I have a fire going?

Accepted Answer

It can, but not as hot as your fire pit. Surround Lite is made from perforated steel and fabric which decrease heat absorption that reduces the direct heat experienced when coming in contact with Surround Lite’s surface. You should always exercise caution when coming in contact with items near an open flame.

Why do the tools have a bend in them?

Accepted Answer

The unique angle of both the poker and tongs allows you to safely add or adjust the wood while keeping your arm away from the flame. The angled poker makes it easy to reach over the side of your fire pit while the angle of the grabber makes adding wood easier by lessening the resistance against you. The poker is angled at 165 degrees and the grabber is angled at 172 degrees.
