Frequently Asked Questions
Where should I use the Ranger?
The Ranger works great in a backyard or pack it up to take on the go. Be sure to only burn the Ranger in a well vented area with no overhang.
Do I need to purchase any accessories?
Nope. All you need is some wood to burn. If you plan on using the Ranger on sensitive surfaces, consider getting the Ranger Stand to help protect the surface below.
How do I cook on the Ranger?
The Ranger was not designed with cooking as the main objective. The Ranger is meant to be used as a backyard fire feature. That said, feel free to break out the marshmallows or hot dogs on a stick!
What wood types do you recommend using as fuel?
Any firewood logs will burn but for optimal efficiency we recommend dry hard woods. Hardwoods such as birch, maple, hickory and oak will burn longer than softwoods. Be sure to avoid driftwood as it contains a high concentration of salt that can potentially corrode the fire pit.
How many logs should I use?
We recommend using 2-4 smaller sized logs. Be sure to now overfill your Ranger and keep the fuel below the upper vents. Once you have a hot bed of embers, you can always throw on another log or two.
How do I clean and store my Ranger?
After your Ranger is cool, turn it upside down to empty any remaining ashes left in your fire pit. Then place your Ranger in it's carry case and store in a cool, dry location. It’s that easy!
Will my Ranger be hot when in use?
YES! Do not touch any part of the Ranger when in use. It will be extremely hot. Children should always be under parental supervision when around the Bonfire. Use common sense and treat the Ranger like any other fire.
Can you place the Ranger in an existing fire pit?
Yes, however we recommend 4-6 inches of clearance around the unit for proper ventilation.
