Recycled Firewood FAQ

We recommend you start off with the following number of logs depending on the size of your fire pit:

Ranger : 2-3 logs

Bonfire: 3-4 logs

Yukon: 4+ Logs



Add additional logs as needed to tend your fire (about every 30 minutes).

Green Mountain Firewood sources its wood from U.S. timber mills which is then manufactured using sustainable development and environmental practices putting them on schedule to become a carbon-neutral manufacturer by early 2023.

Green Mountain Firewood’s mission is to repurpose wood waste into something that is safe for customers to use, and better for the environment.

If not on the first log in the pack, look for a log that looks as if it has been scored four times. These are “perforated” marks that make it easy to break pieces of the log off to use as kindling.

Recycled wood is perfect to add to an existing fire, or to start a small fire on its own.
