Springing out of Hibernation into Family Night

Spring has sprung! And with that comes family fun evenings in the fresh air. Is there anything better than cool, crisp, spring weather after months of winter snow? Actually… yes! Throw in an evening of “make your own pizza” in our Solo Stove Pi Prime Pizza Oven and then a cozy, warm, family snuggle by our Solo Stove Bonfire fire pit and you’ve got yourself an evening no one will forget!

We stepped up our Friday Family nights with artisan-level homemade pizzas. There are so many pizza oven recipes, but for our first try in our Pi Prime Pizza Oven, we went with a classic sauce with sausage, basil, and fresh mozzarella. The next time, we used pesto, mushrooms, and mozzarella. Both were a huge hit with our girls and we love the new Friday pizza night tradition. Our four daughters plan to take turns looking up different recipes for us to try each week - like goat cheese and maple bacon pizza made with the sap from our own Maple trees.

Of course we had to take advantage of the first warm Friday with Solo Stove. Papa started the smokeless fire while we snuggled under the lights and giggled with glee over the much-anticipated “special s’mores.” Did you know you can get creative and make s’mores with more than just graham crackers, chocolate, and marshmallows? Instead of the traditional s’mores ingredients, we tried some new recipes with cookies, Reese’s, fudge stripped cookies, and pretzels. Roasting Easter marshmallow Peeps made the girls laugh so hard. The best part was that no one got smoke in their eyes due to Solo Stove’s unique smokeless design.

This summer, we are excited to bring movie nights to our backyard under the stars and twinkle lights by the warmth of Solo Stove. The girls are already compiling a list of their favorite films and making invitations for family and friends to join us for a nostalgic Solo Stove Pizza and Fire Pit movie night on our Vista Projector Screen.

Solo Stove makes different firepits to fit families of any size. There is even a tabletop fire pit that we have brought along on cross-country camping road trips. But nothing beats coming home to the warmth of our Bonfire fire pit. With the Fire Pit Surround, it’s the perfect size for our family of six and it gives Mama peace of mind to enjoy family time with four kiddos. We actually love it so much that we gifted a Solo Stove Yukon to the grandparents to put out by their front yard pond to warm up after winter ice skating and then we bring it to the backyard by their pool for drying off after a day swimming. They love being the fun Grammie and Grampa house for our girls to bring friends over. Solo Stove has become a family affair!
