Pizza S’mores
Oct 17, 2023By Molly AllenWhen it comes to cooking outside, it’s all about having fun. There’s a reason making s’mores around a campfire brings family and friends together. There’s a reason hosting a pizza making night with your BFFs is so much fun. Why not combine the two? This summer, we’re making pizza s’mores.
This recipe for pizza s’mores pulls inspiration from some of our favorite foods, bringing them together as one. We’re making mini pizzas with our favorite toppings and sandwiching another piece of baked pizza dough on top. It’s all the flavor you love about pizza, but served in the same structure as s’mores. Make them with a group of friends, or even let the kids join in to shape their dough and top the mini pizzas to their liking. Get creative with it!
Equipment
Pi Pizza Oven
Ingredients
1 dough ball
Pizza sauce
Pepperoni
Fresh mozzarella
Fresh basil
Directions
Step 1: Preheat Your Pi Oven
Fire up your Pi using propane or wood fuel. Allow it to preheat for 15 to 20 minutes.

Step 2: Divide and Stretch Your Dough
Use a Solo Stove dough ball or your favorite homemade pizza dough. Divide the dough into six or eight small, even pieces. Stretch each piece into a mini circle, just as you would with a larger pizza.
Tip: If you’re making homemade dough, you can also do the dividing when you ball your pizza dough.

Step 3: Add Your Sauce and Toppings
For each pair of mini pizzas, you’ll have one to top and one to leave plain. On one, add your favorite sauce, top with a slice of fresh mozzarella, and a slice of pepperoni. On the other, use the tines of a fork to gently press holes into the dough.

Step 4: Cook the Mini Pizzas
Time to fire! Launch the mini pizzas into the Pi oven. You can choose to only cook one or two at a time. Once cooked, remove from the pizza oven.
Tip: Cook the mini pizzas near the front opening of the pizza oven.

Step 5: Sandwich the Pizza S’mores
Add fresh basil leaves and sandwich the untopped pizza on top of the mini pizza with the toppings for the ultimate savory pizza s’mores.
Tip: Did the untopped dough puff up in the oven? No problem! Poke a hole in the bottom side with a fork to release the air.
