Equipment
Ingredients
- 2 ciabatta buns
- 1 New York steak
- 1 red bell pepper
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons pesto
- 1 cup fresh arugula
- 2 slices Swiss cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Olive oil
Step 1: Build a fire
Build a fire in your Solo Stove fire pit. Start by burning 3-4 logs, allowing them to reduce down just about to a low flame with hot coals. Set up the cooking hub with the grill on top.
Step 2: Prep and season
In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and pesto and set aside. Drizzle the arugula with olive oil and mix. Cut the pepper, slicing off 4 pieces from the stem. Drizzle with olive oil. Drizzle the steak with olive oil and season with salt and pepper on both sides.
Step 3: Get grilling
Place the red pepper pieces on the grill and cook until tender, flipping halfway while cooking. Add more wood as needed for a higher flame and put the steak on the grill. Cook until desired doneness. Slice and toast the buns on the grill.
Step 4: Assemble
Spread the pesto sauce on both sides of the warm, toasted buns. Add a slice of cheese on the bottom bun. Top with sliced steak, sliced peppers, and dressed arugula.
